From concept
to finished product…
This is a detailed breakdown, of what you can expect throughout the entire process.
After our initial contact, we’ll agree on a day to meet in person. I’ll come prepared with what you can expect from me, and the entire process of filming and editing your original video. I’ll also get some further information from you (Date/time/place, and so on) to ensure that I’m well prepared for your video/event. We’ll also discuss pricing, at this time.
As we discuss a concept for your video, I will prepare a shot list that will detail specific shots that you would like to see in your video. We’ll also discuss the overall length of the finished project.
Music is incredibly important, and my goal is to find music that’s not only appropriate for the occasion, but also for the pace of the video. I prefer to source music from epidemicsound.com, and I pay for a subscription that allows me to use their large library of music royalty free, this ensures that you’ll be able to share your custom creation across the internet without issues. (Facebook for example, routinely mutes videos with copyrighted content)
Event/shoot day! The goal is to have a great time, and I’ll do the heavy lifting (sometimes literally). If it’s necessary for anybody to arrive early to “mic” them for the shooting process, we’ll discuss that at our face to face meeting. For outdoor filming, especially aerial video, if the weather doesn’t permit, we will certainly reschedule a date as quickly as possible for filming.
The editing process is crucial. It can range greatly depending on the complexity of the project, and amount of hours of video I have to sort through in order to produce your unique video. Editing is labor intensive, and can range from just one week in special circumstances, to weeks, or even more in some cases. I will give you an estimated time to completion at our meeting, and if a time frame is too short, and I’m positive I can’t meet your expectations, I won’t waste your time by accepting your project. My goal will always be to exceed your expectations.
Finished product!!! Once I’ve completed your edit, I prefer to upload the video to YouTube as “unlisted”, so that you receive the first look! When you’re ready, I can make your video “public” on YouTube so you can easily share it across social media or on your website, as well as arrange a day/time to meet, so i can provide you with a physical copy your project.
